A Saturday in March saw our keen volunteers hard at work at our Alawa site, brush-cutting to reduce fuel load for the upcoming dry season. The brush-cutters still kept going even when knock-off time was called. Other members continued our regular weeding by hand. To reduce re-sprouting during the wet season, weeds were gathered into one pile. Emerging native seedlings were tagged to save them from the brush-cutters.
