After a deliberate arson attack at their Alawa Oval site, the Rapid Creek Landcare Group realised we needed to do even more work removing fuel load. We called in three of our volunteer brush-cutters; and then raked up the clippings into one pile. Fortunately, the fire did not affect most of the native seedlings that have emerged from this very fertile site.
